SCP-3526

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: Area is to be closed off from public with guards patrolling the perimeter. guards are to be switched out every three hours to avoid being effected by SCP-3526.

Description: Object represents that of a normal rain tunnel made of concrete with the entrance starting at the end of a drainage ditch located in Phoenix Arizona. SCP-3526 was officially discovered by the foundation after Dr.Dalgord and Dr.███ investigated the area upon hearing rumors of strange and supernatural occurrences Once entering the tunnel or spending an extended amount of time in the ditch zone, victims will feel compelled to go deeper and deeper into the tunnel upon reaching the [DATA EXPUNGED] point the object will emit a loud shriek strong enough to damage subjects physically and psychologically. Victims may experience a loss of hearing, extreme anxiety, paranoia, panic attacks, and/or symptoms of psychosis, hallucinating heavily and becoming delusional saying unusual things about SCP-3526 and may become violent. At this point Authorized personnel may escort the victim, now referred to as SCP-3526-1 to be institutionalized or in severe cases exterminated. SCP-3526 has been linked to multiple murders and assaults in the area upon investigation of the object. However, there is no actual evidence that proves the criminals committed the crimes as a result of being affected by the object.

Addendum 3526-01:Treatment of Victim

Attempts to restore SCP-3526-1 to their normal state have proven ineffective so far. Giving them standard psychiatric ward care, yet SCP-3526-1 refuses to eat meals and has had to be fed food and liquids through a tube. Standard atypical SCP-3526-1 is given standard atypical antipsychotics at a high dose of 600mg. Video surveillance shows that the individual affected by SCP-3526 doesn't sleep. This lack of rest may be contributing to the effects of the tunnel, as further sleep deprivation could cause the subject to become more delusional and worsen their mental state.
