Item #: SCP-3591

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3591 is currently housed at Site-27, the nearest containment facility to Location of Interest LOI27-03 where it was recovered. SCP-3591 should be kept at special containment unit SCU27/3591 and requests to relocate it are to be sent to Site-27 administration for review. Database update regarding Site-27's layout is ongoing and security/maintenance personnel formerly assigned to underground aircraft hangar UAH27/B, re-purposed into SCU27/3591, is to be directed towards UAH/C.

Research on SCP-3591 is underway as of ██/██/2022. Project SHARD is currently overseen by Senior Researcher Hanh Cezar and all inquires regarding it should be sent to Site-27 administration. Contact with SCP-3591 and/or access to SCU27/3591 is restricted to personnel with appropriate clearance - furthermore, use of PPE in accordance to Document 3591/P is mandatory for all personnel entering SCU27/3591, regardless of security clearance.

Under no circumstance should Scranton Reality Anchors and/or Xyank/Anastasakos Constant Temporal Sinks be deployed in vicinity of SCP-3591. Anomalies requiring the use of such devices may not be contained at Site-27.

Description: SCP-3591 is a monocrystalline solid of approximate cylindrical shape, possessing height of 9.56 m and base radius of 3.75 m. SCP-3591 is composed entirely of a previously unknown chemical element, henceforth referred to as E3591-A. Alpha and beta radiation is abundantly present in the vicinity of SCP-3591 at all times - however, since E3591-A does not appear to actually decay, it is currently uncertain whether or not the object can be attributed as the source of atomic particles surrounding it.

Based on previous incidents, it is currently theorized that SCP-3591 reacts violently to several major counter-measures employed during certain Foundation protocols concerning the containment of reality bending anomalies. The main thesis regarding the subject has been penned by Senior Researcher Hanh Cezar following Incident 3591-A, when the accidental contact between SCP-3591 and a SRA in transit to Site-29 resulted in substantial loss of Foundation assets. Surviving personnel effected by Incident-3591-A may request amnestic treatment following psychological evaluation.

Project SHARD was established shortly following Incident 3591-A, aiming to prevent further losses associated to SCP-3591.

LOI27-03: SCP-3591 was recovered at LOI27-03. Located at the Tanami Desert, LOI27-03 resembles an abandoned Foundation facility, although no records documenting the existence of such compound could be found as of yet. Members of Project SHARD have theorized that the facility might have been anomalously displaced or that the containment of anomalies held at LOI27-03 might have required its expungement from mainstream databases but no concrete evidence supporting those claims has been uncovered at this time.

All access to LOI27-03 is currently restricted to Foundation personnel assigned to Project SHARD, that should be accompanied by an appropriate security detail, according to the Project's Overseer's discretion.

LOI27-03/A: On ██/██/2004, during the fourth scheduled exploration of LOI27-03, Junior Researcher Margaret Baker managed to gain access to a previously unknown observation module located at underground level B3, henceforth referred to as LOI27-03/A. No documentation found at LOI27-03 so far alludes to the existence of such module, suggesting that it might have been clandestine in nature.

All access to LOI27-03/A is restricted to personnel assigned direct clearance from Project SHARD Overseer. Elements from the security detail accompanying research teams during explorations of LOI27-03 should be dispatched to the module's entrance upon arrival to prevent unauthorized access.

So, Hanh,

Did you know ARX29/03 had over 90% congruence compared to us? I named it a fringe possible refuge destination in a meeting last year. Project Garland was one of the first successful collaboration efforts between different versions of ourselves, after all.

I still remember the day I sat down with their own instance of you and me for a coffee as one of the most fulfilling moments of my life, for the matter. Should have seen their faces when I kept talking about the USSR in the past tense.

Your request for a full status update on Alternative Reality X29/03 has been officially denied by whichever O5 is in charge of it right now. Unofficially, the Hartle III anomaly leading to their iteration of Site-19 has been closed for three months; all comms are dead.

Don't worry, they aren't sweeping their dirt under our carpet. Because there's nobody left to hold the broom.

The following is a video recording retrieved from the main terminal found at LOI27-03/A. As all files originating from ARX29/03, your device must be compatible with ICM standard OS to successfully access its contents.

Warning: Full screening of this record will expose the viewer to dangerous visual and auditory cognitohazards; do not attempt to review it without proper inoculation.

<00:00 to 00:04> Daytime static footage of a barren landscape. UI overlay visible at the lower right corner throughout most of the recording, suggesting the video capture is being performed by an AEGIS drone.

<00:05 to 00:17> Unidentified humanoid mechanical construct is risen to surface level through a previously concealed hatch on the ground (henceforth referred to as C1). Seemingly damaged, object remains inert during ascension process. C1 is estimated to be roughly 20 m in height.

<00:18> Camera pans towards the sky, as a magenta tint coats surrounding locations. Drone retreats at high speed as a bright light source becomes visible above the construct's head.

<00:19 to 00:45> Footage is obscured by smoke, dust and debris. Camera partially damaged, although drone remains operational. Camera pans towards construct's last known location, finding the object to be afloat several meters above ground. No obvious propulsion source is visible. Construct has lost one of its arms since first seen.

<00:46> Construct turns towards the drone, revealing a large cavity that encopasses most of its torso. A crystalline formation protrudes from the cavity - assumed to be SCP-3591, but possibly another object composed of E3591-A.

<00:47 to 00:51> Another construct, similar in shape to the first, comes into view (henceforth referred to as C2). Despite similarities, the second construct appears to differ greatly in composition, as large segments of it seem to be biological in nature. Furthermore, SCP-████, SCP-████ and SCP-████ are embedded in it's chest, one of its arms appears to be, in fact, an amalgamation of multiple instances of SCP-████-A and, attached to the entire length of its back, Scranton Reality Anchors can be seen.

<00:52> Moaning associated with instances of SCP-████-A in advanced stage of infection is heard as C2 hovers over the drone, which relocates, panning the camera to capture both constructs facing each other.

<00:53 to 3:32> C1 and C2 engage in hand-to-hand combat. Footage becomes erratic as evidence of severe reality bending becomes apparent: Surrounding terrain warps wildly, multiple instances of [REDACTED] (known cognitohazards) manifest in the sky, and C2's head's appearance changes multiples times, resembling, respectively, the face of an unknown human female, the head of The Statue of Liberty and the aspect of a decaying bovine skull.

<03:33 to 3:37> C1 connects a punch that decapitates C2. C2 remains inert following the blow.

<3:38 to 3:41> C1's remaining arm warps, quickly assuming the form of what appears to be multiple flatworms of the Platyhelminthes phylum possessing unusual size.

<03:41 to 03:46> C1's behavior becomes frenetic, as it moves its head from side to side before falling backwards, shaking its legs while on the ground.

<03:47 to 03:50> C2 resumes movement and approaches C1.

<03:51> C2 reaches for C1's chest using its right arm.

<03:52 to 04:13> Static, data stream interrupted. Drone destruction assumed.

The following is a transcription of the document immediately displayed following the first activation LOI27-03/A's main terminal, on ██/██/2004.

Having successfully decoded this file means you are a member of the respective equivalent to our organization in your PDOI, Parallel Dimension Of Interest. This document has been sent to you as part of a contingency plan enacted on ██/██/████ automatically. According to records of previous interactions, our organizations maintain friendly relations. Our PDOI has been assigned the designation of ARX29/03 by you - technical terms used in this document will henceforth be referred to according to your nomenclature.

Should PDOI transfer protocols be correctly executed, the observation module containing this terminal will be connected to a single standard containment chamber, where a sample of ACA-1 is kept. ACA-1 is an anomalously radioactive crystal created through the use of [REDACTED] and will, therefore, cause the [DATA EXPUNGED] inside Scrantron Reality Anchors to become active after approximately 15 minutes within their range. That is specifically the reason why it was manufactured - as of ██/██/████, ACA-1 is the only known effective counter-measure to XK-ZETA.

XK-ZETA first manifested as the headless corpse of ICM-3590, a humanoid Class III Reality Bending entity, following its ritualistic suicide. Despite being originally classified as a Class V Reality Bending entity, anomalous activity originated from XK-ZETA is not registered by any Scranton scale measuring devices currently in use. Furthermore, Scranton Reality Anchors and/or Xyank/Anastasakos Constant Temporal Sinks have not only being ineffective, but actively detrimental to containment and neutralization attempts of XK-ZETA, as the entity is seemly capable of integrating such devices to its own biomass and reproduce their intended function.

The immediate deployment of ACA-1 is highly advised should an entity bearing similarities to XK-ZETA be discovered within you PDOI. For that end, this terminal contains prototypical data pertaining to Project Atlas, which is [COMPLETE] as of the emission of this document.

No attempts should be made to duplicate ACA-1 through anomalous means. A request for the sample's retrieval will be sent to this terminal shortly after we have achieved successful neutralization or containment of XK-ZETA.

We thank you for your continued cooperation and hope our mutually beneficial relationship endures for many cycles.

Isolate, Conceal, Monitor.
