Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3992 is to be contained within a standard security checkpoint facing North and South, with watch towers facing East and West, and disguised as a military testing range for mortar and artillery fire. No person is to be allowed into SCP-3992 with exception for authorized testing.

Description: SCP-3992 is a 9.2km long Trench system with the [DATA EXPUNGED] area of Western Europe. SCP-3992 appears to be completely covered up with soil from outside the perimeter area. all life forms that enter seem to have outside viewers lose sight of them in a fog. From the inside SCP-3992 appears to be a Complete World War One style trench. it appears to have no other anomalous properties from the time of 1300 hours (1:00 PM) to 1800 hours (6:00) PM. The anomalous properties of SCP-3992 manifests one it reaches the times of 1900 hours (7:00 PM) to 0300 hours (3:00 AM). upon reaching 1900 hours, SCP-3992 seems to "animate" with distant gunfire and artillery being heard by any individual present inside SCP-3992. upon reaching 2100 hours (9:00 PM) these sounds will begin to appear closer,with distant screams being heard.Upon the time of 0000 hours, the individual will be in the middle of an intense World War One battle. The individual will be in this battle for the remainder of the time in this battle. At this point, the battle cannot get closer to the subject and will instead become more violent. The most violent point of the battle is estimated to be from 0100 to 0230 hours. at the time, it is estimated that 47 D-class personnel have been sent in to SCP-3992, with only 18 coming out. Some rather remarkable deaths include:

  • Bludgeoned to death with a brick.
  • Stabbed in the throat with a bayonet.
  • Ensnared en barbed wire.

The testing of monitoring and audio equipment has been proven to work inside of SCP-3992, so testing with D-class personnel with audio and surveillance has been approved. The individual fighting in the battles have been deemed SCP-3992-1. Observations in testing has shown that SCP-3992-1 can die and, when lead out of the trenches, appear to cease to exist outside of the trench system. All shrapnel, bullets, particles, dust, and even smoke from gunfire appears to also not exist outside of the trench system. Any individual found near the perimeter area without proper clearance are to be removed from the area without force. Any individual found to be attempting to enter SCP-3992 is to be taken down by non-leathal means and removed from the area.
