Special Containment Procedures: S.C.P.-XXXX is to be kept in an airtight sealed containment cell under armed guard by no less than ten (10) guards at any one time in facility [DATA EXPUNGED]. If any abnormal behaviour is detected outside of an experiment, lethal force is to be used immediately. No guard is to stay in the direct presence of S.C.P.-XXXX for more than two (2) hours. After two (2) hours, all guards are to be replaced and subjected to psychiatric evaluation by a trained psychiatrist. Under no circumstances is the cell to be entered by anybody other than the current guard staff without express permission from personnel rank 2 or higher. In the case of a containment breach, if S.C.P.-XXXX-1 is identified, S.C.P.-XXXX-1 is to be guarded until normal containment procedures can be reinstated and given amnestics immediately after.

Description: S.C.P.-XXXX resembles a humanoid male, approximately 200cm tall, with seemingly avian features, including clawed feet resembling talons and a long black beak estimated to be 30cm in length.

It is known to enter a violent state in which it will seemingly randomly select a target (S.C.P.-XXXX-1) and remain in this state until it has reached and successfully assassinated its target, at which point it return to its normally docile state. It will also enter this state if disturbed or if within 45cm of any person or moving object, which it will then mark as S.C.P.-XXXX-1. Upon entering a violent state, S.C.P.-XXXX is known to look at S.C.P.-XXXX-1 and say the word “Nevermore” before attacking them. It is apparently able to rotate it’s head 180° to do so. If it cannot see S.C.P.-XXXX-1, it will turn to the nearest observer or recording device instead of S.C.P.-XXXX-1, and then attack it. It will still hunt down S.C.P.-XXXX-1 afterwards. It does not seem to be otherwise capable of verbal communication. In this state, S.C.P.-XXXX will use any means necessary to kill S.C.P.-XXXX-1 and anybody in the immediate vicinity.

In it’s docile state, it will make no movements, and will not attempt to escape containment without outside stimuli.

It wears a long hooded trench coat covered in black feathers and leather gloves with talons on the fingertips. It also appears to be wearing a leather mask and goggles, completely obscuring its face aside from the beak. The goggles appear to be permanently reflecting bright light regardless of light exposure. Attempts to remove these articles of clothing have been unsuccessful, and they appear to be physically bonded to its body.

It is known to use several forms of weaponry and tools procured through anomalous means, apparently being able to summon them from anywhere in the world, regardless of distance from them. S.C.P.-XXXX appears to pull the objects from a pocket inside its trench coat, although they are often too large and bulky to fit inside a normal trench coat of comparable proportions. It can seemingly summon any necessary weapon or tool to kill its target, regardless of what that may be. The weapons and tools themselves do not appear to have any anomalous properties, unless it summons an anomalous object. It is known to be able to teleport and can escape virtually any space or holding area. However, the creature appears to be unable to teleport out of airtight containers.

Although it uses a variety of weapons, it seems to “prefer” high caliber “cut-off pistols” and explosive ammunition.

It appears to have a memetic effect causing anybody in the same room as it to think it’s “eyes” are looking at them. They appear to become more convinced the longer they are in the room, inducing panic and eventually long-term paranoia, hallucinations, and insanity (in that order). This effect ceases upon entering an active state, but will not otherwise cease while the subject is within 30m of S.C.P.-XXXX, regardless of wether they are in the same room or not. After approximately one (1) hour of exposure, it will start to have long term effects which will not cease without mental treatment, and after approximately thirty (30) minutes after, it will start to have permanent effects which cannot be reversed. If somebody can see it, but is not in the same room, they will experience a much more mild memetic effect of a similar nature, without lasting side effects.

It can be subdued if damaged to the point of being unable to continue hunting down S.C.P.-XXXX-1, upon which it will collapse to the floor and enter a completely catatonic state, during which it may be safely transported. In this state, it is able to regenerate seemingly any part of the body. When a body part is regenerated, the corresponding clothing appears to also repair itself. As soon as such regeneration is complete (needed time will vary depending on the extent of the damage), S.C.P.-XXXX will reenter it’s docile state, regardless of what state it was in prior to entering it’s catatonic state. When in a catatonic state, all weapons and tools summoned by S.C.P.-XXXX will seemingly age much faster than usual until they are rendered entirely unrecognisable. Thus far, S.C.P.-XXXX has proven entirely impossible to kill.

It does not appear to need any sort of sustenance, and it does not appear on X-Ray scans.

It was brought into containment on [REDACTED] Street in [REDACTED], U.K., while local police forces attempted to apprehend it.
